::Less is More ::

It seems as if the temperatures are going nowhere but up. Throughout the day, I would wipe the areas around my nose and forehead to rid of sweat. When I did this, I would also wipe away any makeup in those areas. I would come home with smeared eyeliner and a slightly oily complexion. Every day I spend about 15 minutes doing my makeup and it just seems like that time and effort went to waste. But I recently saw pictures of Emma Stone with simple and beautiful makeup that really drew attention to her eyes. In an attempt to copy her look, I discovered that less is truly more when it comes to makeup.

My Everyday Makeup:
I start off with sunscreen and a primer. Protection is super important, not just in the summer, but all year long. I then use a light foundation around my nose, under my eyes, and on my chin. Next I use a concealer for any blemishes and also under my eyes. Using a translucent powder, I dust it only over the places I applied makeup. I then fill in my eyebrows with a light hand and use a white eyeliner under my brows and in the inner corners of my eyes. Next I take an angled eye-liner brush and a cream liner to line my eyes halfway because my eyes are smaller than Emma’s (Emma Stone uses liquid liner). I apply a waterproof mascara, just enough to make my lashes a little darker. Taking a berry colored blush, I apply it lightly to the apples of my cheeks. And last but not least, I apply a pinky-nude lipstick. And that’s it! Super simple! Since I cut out all the different eye shadows I used to wear, I save a lot of time. I really like the look of a bare lid and my eyeliner no longer smudges. What’s your summer makeup routine?
